Who I am

Hi, my name is Zachary, and I’m an aspiring musician! Born and bred in Northern Ireland, my once thick accent has mellowed as I’ve since moved to the quaint city of Chester, England, where I am now finishing up my undergraduate degree.

What I am doing

As I’m finishing my studies, I won’t be releasing music effective immediately, but rest assured that a project is in the works. While I’m still finding my voice and distinct musical identity, I have been inspired by the Christian indie music scene. A lover of chamber and indie folk, and chill r&b, I hope to incorporate elements from these genres into my music, whilst also embracing aspects of traditional Irish and Chinese music, given my heritage. My music may very well differ from what I’ve just described, but through lots of trial and error, I look forward to creating and releasing my debut project.

Why I’m doing this

Ultimately, my goal is to create art that honours and glorifies the Creator. The world is broken, but I want to write music that proclaims the good news that is found in Jesus Christ! Additionally, through sharing my personal experiences, I hope to encourage and uplift people, reminding them that they are not alone as they navigate the trials of life. I’m a mess and highly unqualified, but I am forever grateful that God graciously involves messy people in His work.

In the coming months, despite my academic workload at its heaviest, I won’t leave you in the dark. By signing up for my newsletter, or following my social media, you will receive consistent updates from me. While I can’t be certain just yet, I am hoping to release something during the second quarter of 2025, with more music to follow.

I hope we can get to know each other a bit better in time, and I pray that I will humbly honour the Lord as I embark on this musical journey. God bless you all!
